Shocking Blue is one of the most famous Dutch bands ever. The band released some of their best-selling hits all around the world, including "Venus", which was a number 1 hit in the US, Netherlands, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, France, Italy, Spain, Sweden, South Africa,, New Zealand and Switzerland. It has been covered by many others, who scored hits with their versions as well.

But Shocking Blue is more than "Venus". They started in 1967 as a quartet with psychedelic pop, as was the fashion at that time. Singer Mariska Veres joined in 1968, and the quintet hit it off right away with Venus and other hits like Never Marry A Railroad Man, Mighty Joe and many others. All their singles, including some deep cut album tracks are available on the double LP Single Collection A's & B's, Part 1.

This collection was originally released in 1997 and consisted of 28 of their best tracks, Also included are Robbie's powerful B-sides like "Fireball of Love", "Hot Sand', "Wild Wind", and "Roll Engine Roll".

Single Collection A's & B's Part 1 is available on 180 gram audiophile black vinyl and packaged in a gatefold sleeve.
