I bought a new red 1300S and 3 years later I had to sell it. By then it was orange, had another engine in it and I was ruined. Learned how to repair my car on the roadside anyway. From disappearing driver's window to flying wiper, boiling battery to footbath. Stuck carburettor? Exploding distributor?
Luckily it was delivered with a crank, as the starter refused to work on random days. And it turned left every time I hit the brakes.
Excellent car for any aspiring grease monkey or to block traffic. No hazard warning lights. When you saw a Lada on the roadside you knew it wasn't just parked there. It was waiting for the AA to turn up...
