A Blue and White 'Bird and Berry' Dish – Jiajing/Wanli Period, Ming DynastyA charming Chinese blue and white porcelain dish dating to the Jiajing/Wanli period of the Ming dynasty (16th–early 17th century). The shallow dish is finely painted in underglaze cobalt blue with a delicate composition of a bird perched on a fruiting branch laden with berries, a popular motif symbolizing prosperity, abundance, and harmony with nature.The reverse is marked with the single character (Fú), meaning "Happiness," "Blessings," or "Good Fortune." This auspicious mark was widely used on late Ming porcelain.The dish displays the elegant, spontaneous brushwork and soft cobalt tones characteristic of late Ming blue and white porcelain, making it an attractive example of everyday yet refined export ware from the period.Dimensions:Diameter: 10.2 cmHeight: 2.5 cmCondition:In very good condition, with very minor rim fritting spots typical of the ware.
