Beschrijving
For sale is a magnificent original Hollywood Regency / Mid-Century style table lamp from the approx. 1970s. This sculptural lamp, depicting a seated Buddha, features a stunning contrast between glossy white glazed ceramic and a mirror-like, highly polished real gold finish (partial gilding). Design, glaze, and gilding correspond exactly to the iconic designs of this period (in the style of Domenico Zanotto / Nove / Bassano). The highlight: 100% original condition with shade!Condition & Honest Patina:* Face & Glaze: The gilding shows a magnificent mirror shine (dark spots in the photos are merely light reflections). There is typical, light gold wear on the hands and nose. There are two minimal, tiny glaze dots on the headdress. The back also features a period-typical origin stamp (applied as "MAD IN ITAL" due to limited space).* Signs of Age: A small, unobtrusive chip (approx. 0.8 cm) is located in the white glaze on the side of the body beneath the left elbow. Positioned within the natural shadow of the robe's folds, it does not affect the spectacular front appearance at all.* Lampshade: Original pleated fabric shade with gold fringe trim. Over the decades, it has developed a charming, authentic vintage patina (light age spots on the top as well as age-typical discoloration on the sides, see photos) – an untouched collector's item. Structurally in good, solid condition with no tears or holes.* Accessories & Electrics: Includes the original brass finial in an artistic leaf shape. Original E27 metal socket, fully functional (230V).Dimensions & Weight:* Total Height: approx. 65 cm (impressive statement size for sideboards)* Height of Figure: approx. 42 cm* Shade Width: 47 cm | Shade Height: 26 cm* Weight: approx. 3.8 kgShipping notice: For maximum protection of the ceramic and fabric shade, shipping will be securely packed in 2 separate parcels.
