*Restoration Report – Jewelry Box (circa 1900–1930)*This jewelry box, crafted between 1900 and 1930, is made from beech and oak wood. At the start of the restoration, the box was in poor condition and was barely usable. The restoration was carried out with great care and full attention to preserving the original craftsmanship.*No modern adhesives* such as epoxy or synthetic wood glue were used during the restoration. All components were glued using *traditional animal glues*—specifically fish glue and hide glue. This ensures that the restoration is *fully reversible*, making future conservation or repair work much easier and more respectful to the original materials.*Restoration actions performed:*1. The original animal glue on the lid had completely dissolved due to water and moisture damage. 2. The entire lid was carefully disassembled with attention and precision. 3. The original glass panel was brittle and damaged, and has been reattached using animal glue .
