Vintage Mid-Century Tripod Floor Lamp by Apolinary Gaecki, Typ 1218 — Stoeczne Zakady Metalowe, Warsaw — Blue Lacquered Metal, Adjustable Height — Sold Without ShadeA striking mid-century tripod floor lamp, model typ 1218, designed by Apolinary Jan Gaecki (1924–2006), Polish architect and industrial designer who worked as a lamp designer at Stoeczne Zakady Metalowe Nr 2 Przemysu Terenowego w Warszawie (Warsaw Metal Works No. 2 of Local Industry) from 1950–1970. A documented, catalogued design of the period — comparable examples carry the original manufacturer's nameplate reading "MEOS / S.Z.M. NR 2 P.T. / WARSZAWA / typ. nr - 1218." Finished in blue lacquered metal, with a slender telescoping stem rising to a chrome-plated upper rod and brass-toned bulb holder. The tripod base splits into three angled legs finished with black ball feet, giving the lamp a light, sculptural stance typical of Polish lighting design of the period.
