An integrated suspension loop allows the piece to be worn as a pendant, likely on a leather cord.The dragon or serpent motif held strong significance in Norse mythology, symbolising protection, power, and the liminal space between the human and supernatural worlds. The amulet draws inspiration from Fáfnir, the dwarf-turned-dragon of Norse mythology—cursed by greed and ultimately slain by the hero Sigurd. As a wearable symbol of this myth, the piece would have served as a talisman of bravery, strength, and victory over greed and chaos.Such amulets may have been worn by Viking warriors and spiritual practitioners, embodying both mythological reverence and protective intent.
