- 1867 J. G. Hall Co. invents staking tool set, a watchmaker tool.
- 1870 J. G. Hall Co. starts production of staking Tools, the company was specialised in making watchmakers' tools, especially staking tools.
- 1910 K & D develops the staking tools and name it 'Inverto 18'. The prvious Inverto becomes 'Inverto 17' (this catalog!) - The Inverto 17-catalog is issued and distributed (1910).
- 1993 K& D staking tool production ceases, about 6 months before the 100th anniversary of the start of the production. (Source K&D Company History)
