Metalium is a German power metal band formed in 1998 in Hamburg, Germany. Led by bassist Lars Ratz (RIP), the band released their debut album Millennium Metal – Chapter One, an iconic masterpiece filled with catchy melodies, powerful vocals, and heavy guitar riffs. But it was with the release of their second album, State of Triumph – Chapter Two, that the band gained momentum, embarking on extensive headline tours across Europe and Japan. Songs like “Fight“, “Free Forever“, “Dream of Doom”, and “Steel Avenger” became timeless classics for the band.

Over their career, Metalium released a total of eight studio albums and two DVDs. The band disbanded in 2011, but the tragic death of Lars Ratz in 2021 brought the original members together to honor his memory. They wrote a song dedicated to Lars, the single “Never Surrender”, which marked a return to their aggressive riffing and glorious, powerful melodies. This opened the door to a new chapter for Metalium.

In 2024, Metalium returned to the stage with a refreshed lineup: Henning Basse (vocals), Matthias Lange (guitar), Bruno Nunes (guitar), Fabio Carito (bass), and Marcus Dotta (drums). Combining the spirit of their past with bold, youthful energy, Metalium embarks on an exciting new chapter!
